Cesare Businelli, Chemical Engineering degree and post-graduate course in Manufacturing Management , after three years as Materials and Purchasing Manager in Zanussi Group where has matured experiences in logistics, production planning and purchasing in the automotive and white goods appliances sector, spent 8 years as Supply Chain Manager in Hewlett Packard first in Italy (where he has contributed to the start-up of the new laser-jet printers manufacturing facility in Stezzano, Bergamo) and than in the United States as World Wide Operations Manager in charge of important Supply Chain reengineering projects, strategic sourcing and ERP implementation.

After an experience in AT Kearney where he has contributed, as Senior Manager of the European Supply Chain & Operations Practice, to several relevant initiatives and engagements in the automotive business became Italy General Manager of i2 Technologies in charge of developing the Italian business for SRM (Supply Relationship Management), SCM ed e-business application software.

Afterwards he joined i-Faber core team, the B2B initiative of Unicredit Group (the second largest italian financial institution) known under the Marketplace brand name 1city.biz (www.1city.biz) , where he was responsible for the new business development becoming Chief Operating Officer in charge of technology and new application and services development like e-auctions, supplier scouting and rating, supply chain collaboration, document management, business intelligence.

Since the beginning of 2006 he has been teaching seminars in Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Procurement and Cost Management for mayor Companies in Italy and throughout Europe. He is author of several articles published in specialized magazines dedicated to Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
